I’m not yet sure how I can balance this post between showing I’m grateful without “showing off”.
Here’s an attempt:
Travel scholarship on offer: Two weeks of travelling in South-East Asia, with food, flights, accommodation, tour guides, every cost paid for. Countries (yes, plural) to be decided.
We were emailed about this in early December 2020, but I believe most of the winners only worked on their applications over the week or even few days before the deadline in July (should probably make us undeserving, but we turned out to be an alright bunch after all).
We waited until December to find out who had won spots. I think us boys at Nelson College considered ourselves very lucky we weren’t at a co-ed school, Nayland showed the girls wouldn’t leave us any room.
So we waited again until the end of February before we got to meet, Doug and John, the people behind Celestielle and the winners from the other schools.
So thank you Cass, Olivia, Lucy, Lexi, Anushka, Kate, Jasmine, Teia, Jack, Josh, Sameep, Matt and Alice
for the great times.
And to Doug and John for everything.
